We invite you to watch the documentary \u201cCachalote, Patagonia Explorer\u201d, an audiovisual work that accompanied the application of this innovative vessel for one of the most important ocean-related recognitions in the world.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCachalote\u201d, a project created by Francisca Cort\u00e9s Solari (@franciscacortessolari), was distinguished by The Honours 2025, the highest international award in maritime innovation and sustainability, considered by many as the \u201cNobel Prize of the Sea.\u201d \ud83c\udf0a\ud83c\udfc6<\/p>\n

Inspired by the ancestral heritage of Patagonian and Antarctic peoples, Cachalote integrates traditional knowledge with cutting-edge technology, honoring the cultures that have navigated and protected these waters since time immemorial.<\/p>\n

In addition, it obtained the international Sea Index Exclusive Member certification\u2014an index that measures CO\u2082 emissions from vessels\u2014positioning it as a low-emission ship and a global benchmark in technology and sustainability. \ud83d\udea2\ud83d\udc99\ud83c\udf0d<\/p>\n

Built in #Chilo\u00e9 by the NavikChile shipyard, and designed by Natalia Assler and Vicente Zegers, this vessel reflects a profound vision that unites territory, culture, and science in the service of conservation.<\/p>\n
