{"id":64550,"date":"2019-06-29T21:05:06","date_gmt":"2019-06-29T21:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fundacionmeri.cl\/?p=64550"},"modified":"2020-09-02T18:18:28","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T21:18:28","slug":"filantropia-cortes-solari-y-la-american-universities-incorporated-acercaran-el-cielo-a-los-escolares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundacionmeri.cl\/en\/filantropia-cortes-solari-y-la-american-universities-incorporated-acercaran-el-cielo-a-los-escolares\/","title":{"rendered":"Cort\u00e9s Solari Philanthropy and the American Universities Incorporated will bring the sky closer to schoolchildren"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 28, Cort\u00e9s Solari Philanthropy (FCS) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aui.edu\/\">American Universities Incorporated<\/a> (AUI) signed an agreement to promote scientific research and environmental education focused on schoolchildren in Chile.<\/p>\n<p>After a whole year of work, the President of FCS, Francisca Cort\u00e9s and the President of the AUI, Dr. Adam Cohen, signed an agreement to bring Astronomical Education closer to the country. FCS\u2019 general manager Patricia Morales said:\u00a0 \u201cThis is the first time that AUI has a partnership for scientific development and environmental education with a private foundation for conservation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This partnership will be carried out by applying different programs that will be carried out in the three Elemental Reserves of the Cort\u00e9s Solari Foundation: Puribeter, Likandes and Melimoyu. Each of these is located at strategic points to carry out the programs.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Tim Spuck, director of education at AUI, took this moment to talk about the solar eclipse that will happen on July 2, \u201cEclipses are a great opportunity for people to understand that astronomy is much more than the night sky. It\u2019s all we can do to make people look up, exploring and being astonished by the wonders of the universe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Associated Universities, Inc. is a major American nonprofit corporation established in Washington D.C.
