Daniela Daie

Marine Biologist (UV) and Master in Environmental Education (UPLA) (c), with postgraduate studies in community relations, local development planning, and risk management. She has worked in the area of environmental management and in environmental education projects with different levels, contexts, and audiences, and has taught in schools and universities. She has experience in the public sector as the primary focus for the implementation of the 2030 agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, in the area of environmental statistics, Climate Change statistics, and the statistical treatment of extreme events and natural-anthropic disasters.

As Coordinator of the Engagement Area of MERI, she is in charge of planning, managing, and implementing outreach and community engagement programs and activities. She is also responsible for developing content and materials to promote the conservation of strategic ecosystems for the mitigation of Climate Change. Her motivation is based on her interest in contributing to building a sustainable and informed society that knows, values, and protects the planet’s biodiversity and its cultures.
